Daily electricity production and consumption data released (January 24, 2024)
In Turkey, 993 thousand 968 megawatt-hours of electricity were produced on a daily basis yesterday, while consumption was 993 thousand 491 megawatt-hours.
According to Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ) data, the highest electricity consumption yesterday occurred at 12:00 with 48 thousand 26 megawatt-hours, and the lowest consumption occurred at 05:00 with 32 thousand 466 megawatt-hours.
On a daily basis, 993 thousand 968 megawatt-hours of electricity were produced yesterday, while consumption was recorded as 993 thousand 491 megawatt-hours.
Dam-based hydroelectric power plants ranked first in production with 24.4 percent. This was followed by imported coal plants with 18.9 percent and natural gas plants with 13.7 percent.
On the other hand, Turkey exported 5 thousand 613 megawatt-hours of electricity and imported 5 thousand 150 megawatt-hours of electricity yesterday.
