Date finalized: Employer support for minimum wage to be submitted to Parliament
The regulation covering the increase of the minimum wage support from 500 liras to 700 liras is coming to Parliament.
The legislative proposal, which includes the regulation to increase the minimum wage support from 500 liras to 700 liras, is planned to be submitted to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) on Monday, January 15.
AKP deputies have completed their work regarding the legal regulations required for the increase in minimum wage support.
According to the legislative proposal opened for the signatures of deputies, the minimum wage support will be increased from 500 liras to 700 liras. Additionally, a regulation regarding the short-term work allowance will also be on the agenda.
The proposal will be submitted to the Speaker of the TBMM on Monday. The proposal, which will be discussed in the Planning and Budget Committee, will be referred to the TBMM General Assembly following the committee process.
The regulation regarding improvements to SSK and Bağ-Kur pension payments is expected to be added to the proposal during the committee process after it is decided upon in the Presidential Cabinet.
AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, during his visit to the Parliamentary Correspondents Association (PMD) on the occasion of January 10 Working Journalists Day, stated regarding the improvements to SSK and Bağ-Kur pension payments: "Our Ministry is working on it. We have held a preliminary meeting. If it is finalized by next week, it will be evaluated in the cabinet, and then we will include it in our legislative proposal. Perhaps we will have clarified this by our third week."
