Date set for double fuel price cut
Oil prices, which had risen due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, have begun to fall following news of a ceasefire. Following these developments, significant price cuts are expected for fuel in Turkey.
Recent geopolitical risks in the Middle East pushed Brent oil prices up to 80 dollars. This situation was reflected in fuel prices in Turkey, leading to one of the largest price hikes in the history of the Republic. On June 21, diesel prices were increased by 3.80 TL and gasoline prices by 1.51 TL.
However, following news of a ceasefire, Brent oil prices have fallen to 67 dollars. With this decline, price cuts are expected for fuel in Turkey. It is projected that there will be a 3.80 TL reduction in diesel prices starting Thursday, and a 1.80 TL reduction in gasoline prices starting Friday.
