Date set for pension increase

Date set for pension increase

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made a statement regarding the pensions that millions are waiting for during his speech at his party's extraordinary congress.

Pointing to the cabinet meeting, President Erdoğan stated, "Our ministry is currently working on it, and we will announce our new good news to our retired civil servants after our first Cabinet meeting, God willing."

WHEN IS THE CABINET MEETING?

According to NTV's report, the date of the Cabinet meeting, which normally takes place every two weeks, has been set. The Cabinet will meet on Monday, October 9, to discuss critical agenda items. The meeting is expected to start at 15:30.

PENSION INCREASE ON THE AGENDA

President Erdoğan will announce the details of the raise to be made to the salaries of millions of retirees at the cabinet meeting.

Making a statement on the subject, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan said, "Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will share with our nation the work regarding our workers, civil servants, and Bağ-Kur retirees, which he gave as good news, after the cabinet meeting. We will continue to stand by our retirees from now on, just as we have until today."

The fight against terrorism is another agenda item. Operations launched following the attempted bomb attack on the Ministry of Interior and air operations carried out in northern Iraq and Syria will be on the cabinet's agenda. In this regard, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler and Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya are expected to make presentations to the cabinet members.

ISRAEL-PALESTINE TENSION

The tension between Israel and Palestine is also being closely monitored by Ankara. Israel's declaration of war following Hamas's attack will be discussed in the Cabinet. Erdoğan had called on the parties to exercise restraint.
