President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's announcement of an additional 5 percent raise for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees has led to the determination of death benefits. With the raises implemented, the lowest 'widow's pension' has been set at 5,000 TL, and the 'orphan's pension' at 2,500 TL.

With the lowest pension increasing from 7,500 TL to 10,000 TL, the lowest widow's pension to be paid to a person receiving 50 percent of their deceased spouse's pension has become 5,000 TL.

If the deceased person's child is receiving 25 percent of the pension, the lowest orphan's pension amount they will receive has been determined as 2,500 TL. These figures have been updated in line with the raises in pensions and the additional 5 percent increase.
