Diesel prices have fallen again
Following the US-Iran peace deal, Brent crude oil prices have begun to decline, and the price of diesel per liter has dropped by 1.23 TL as of midnight. Current fuel prices in Turkey's major cities have also been announced.
The peace agreement signed between the US and Iran following 107 days of negotiations has had an immediate impact on global energy markets. US President Donald Trump announced that the signing process for the agreement was completed electronically and that the Strait of Hormuz would be fully opened to trade starting Friday.
As tensions in global politics eased, the pressure on oil relaxed, and the price of a barrel of Brent crude oil fell to 82.92 dollars. Prices for US-origin West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude saw levels as low as 80.72 dollars. These developments have also affected fuel prices domestically.
The new discount on the diesel group was reflected at the pump at midnight, resulting in a 1.23 lira reduction per liter. According to information provided by industry representatives, the weakening in international product prices was directly reflected in the prices.
According to the updated prices, the liter prices for fuel products in Turkey's three largest cities have been determined as follows:
Istanbul European Side - Gasoline: 63.08 TL - Diesel: 65.24 TL - LPG: 31.99 TL
Istanbul Anatolian Side - Gasoline: 62.93 TL - Diesel: 65.09 TL - LPG: 31.39 TL
Ankara - Gasoline: 64.05 TL - Diesel: 66.35 TL - LPG: 31.97 TL
Izmir - Gasoline: 64.32 TL - Diesel: 66.64 TL - LPG: 31.79 TL
