Discount coming for diesel and gasoline

Following the ceasefire signed between the US and Iran in the Middle East, the decline in Brent crude oil prices in global markets has also affected fuel prices. The updated prices have led to a reduction at refineries and pumps, effective from midnight.

A discount of 12.88 TL per liter will be applied to diesel, and 1.05 TL to gasoline. Thus, drivers will encounter a significant price drop when they go to fuel stations in the morning.

In Istanbul, the price per liter of diesel will drop to 72.38 TL, and the price per liter of gasoline will fall to 62.19 TL. In the capital Ankara, diesel will be 73.50 TL per liter, and gasoline will be 63.14 TL. In Izmir, with the new prices, diesel will drop to 73.78 TL and gasoline to 63.43 TL.

While this discount in prices offers a short-term relief, market volatility continues due to the ongoing political tension in the region. Israel's persistence in its interventions in Lebanon and Iran's announcement that they will retaliate have caused international oil prices to climb again.

Brent crude, which had fallen below the 90-dollar level yesterday, closed the day around 94 dollars. However, prices rose rapidly today, exceeding 98 dollars. Thus, while a temporary discount opportunity has emerged for fuel, the volatile course of the markets continues due to uncertainties and geopolitical risks.
