Discussed hike rates for paid military service

With the arrival of January, inflation figures will first be announced on January 3, and then millions of civil servants will learn their new salaries. Once civil servant salaries are determined, the paid military service fee that will be valid for 2024 will also become clear.

The paid military service fee, which was 104 thousand 84 TL in the January-June 2023 period, was set at 122 thousand 351 lira for the July-December period.

The paid military service fee was fixed to the rate of the civil servant salary coefficient with a regulation made in the past. If there is a 50 percent raise for civil servants, it is projected that the paid military service price will be 183,526 TL.

CIRCULAR EXPECTED TO BE PUBLISHED

Following the determination of civil servant salaries, a circular is expected to be published for paid military service. With that circular, the new paid military service fee will be finalized. The calculations made according to the rates are as follows;

If there is a 30 percent hike in the paid military service price, the fee is expected to be 159,056 TL.

In the event of a 40 percent hike, the paid military service amount could be 171,291 lira.

If there is a 50 percent increase, the total payment amount will be 183,526 TL.
