Following a meeting held in Ankara today, the electricity and natural gas tariffs that will be effective from April 1 are expected to be finalized. According to what is being discussed in energy circles, it is stated that price increases could reach double-digit rates.
Economy reporter Olcay Aydilek stated in a social media post, “All eyes are on Ankara... It is being discussed in the corridors that a high-level meeting will be held today and that the electricity and natural gas tariffs effective from April 1 will be shaped. The expectation of a price hike is very high! In the sector, ‘double digits’ are being mentioned. Can April continue without a price hike? We will see within hours.”
