Economic management has prepared several alternatives for SSK and Bağ-Kur retiree pension hikes! To be presented to Erdoğan...
While the salary increase rate for civil servants and civil servant retirees was set at 49.25 percent, it has been learned that the increase rate for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will be determined in the new week.
With the announcement of inflation data last week, the salary increase rate for civil servants and civil servant retirees was set at 49.25 percent.
The increase rate for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees remained at 37.75 percent. While millions of SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees are demanding that the gap be closed, a final decision is expected to be made within the coming week.
According to a report by Hürriyet; the economic management has prepared a study with several alternatives following the emergence of a pension hike gap between retirees and the fact that the lowest pension remained at 7,500 Turkish Liras. These studies will be presented to AKP Chairman and President Tayyip Erdoğan. Among the options is raising the lowest pension of 7,500 TL to the 10,000 lira level. However, no final decision has been made in these studies yet. For this reason, it is stated that the figures may change.
LEGAL REGULATION REQUIRED
A legal amendment is required for any pension increase beyond the inflation data. The legal amendment to be made is expected to be submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) after January 16. In this context, it is anticipated that the increase rate will be clarified within January, and if pensions are paid before the finalization, the difference will be transferred to accounts later.
