End-of-day in financial markets: Latest developments in stocks, foreign exchange, gold, and crypto assets on October 6, 2025

The first trading day of the week on Borsa Istanbul ended with a decline. The BIST 100 index closed the day at 10,734.87 points, losing 1.14 percent in value. The index saw a high of 10,928.38 and a low of 10,706.05 during the day.

Among the most traded stocks today, Turkish Airlines (THYAO) ranked first with a trading volume of 12.5 billion TL. It was followed by Akbank (AKBNK) and Ereğli Demir ve Çelik (EREGL).

While the stocks with the highest gains were CEMTS, IZINV, and SNKRN, ALKA, EMKEL, and GMTAS were the companies that experienced the most value loss of the day.

On a sectoral basis, communication, stone-earth, and informatics stood out, while sports, banking, and construction stocks bid farewell to the day with losses.

In the foreign exchange markets, as of 18:30, the dollar/TL was trading at 41.69 with an increase of 0.09 percent, while the euro/TL rate fell to 48.84 with a decrease of 0.26 percent.

CURRENT TABLE IN GOLD, OIL, AND CRYPTOCURRENCIES

Activity continued in the gold market. Ounce gold rose to 3,949 dollars at the end of the day. In the Grand Bazaar, gram gold also increased in value by 1.77 percent to 5,301.86 TL.

Quarter gold found buyers at 8,481.91 TL, while its selling price was 8,668.54 TL. Republic gold was traded at the 34,568.14 TL level.

On the energy front, the barrel price of international Brent crude oil was recorded at 65.35 dollars.

In the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin rose to 125,253 dollars, while the price of Ethereum was 4,687.58 dollars.

While markets are being closely followed by investors, experts point out that volatility may continue.
