Erol Erkan, father of Hafize Gaye Erkan, speaks out following scandal allegations!

Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan has been the subject of allegations that her father, Erol Erkan, dismissed a bank employee, closed the Central Bank's social facility for his family's exclusive use, and today slapped a staff member in an elevator.

Additionally, claims that he had the Central Bank's camp in Özdere, İzmir, reserved solely for his own use following the earthquake have also become a topic of public discussion.

According to a report by Patronlar Dünyası, Erol Erkan, speaking on the allegations, said, "Is such a thing possible? I have a daughter too. She is like a daughter to me as well. I am truly surprised at how she became a tool for such a conspiracy."

Claiming that a successful period has been experienced under his daughter Gaye Erkan's management and that the meetings in the USA are evidence of this, Father Erkan alleged a "conspiracy," stating, "Unfortunately, someone pushed the button. They systematically put fake news into play... This process began on January 5 and before."

"Look, Mr. Toygun, with the establishment of the new economic team led by Vice President Mr. Cevdet Yılmaz and Minister of Treasury and Finance Mr. Mehmet Şimşek, and our daughter Gaye Erkan joining this strong team, CDS rates have dropped significantly. Confidence in the economic environment in Turkey has been refreshed. We are experiencing a successful process. The successful atmosphere at the meetings in the USA was an indicator of this. However, unfortunately, someone pushed the button. They systematically put fake news into play... This process began on January 5 and before. A female employee named Kübra, who works at the Central Bank and is said to be the one I slapped today, wants to meet with the Governor. However, she cannot meet because the Governor is in the USA. She wants to meet with us as her mother and father. What she told us was terrifying."

"YOU CAN SEE IT IN THE MESSAGES"

"Supposedly, I slapped Ms. Kübra. They were going to spread gossip at the bank and make it news by saying I slapped a female employee. It was intended that we would be slandered using the name of the employee named Kübra in WhatsApp messages, and that the Governor would be discredited through us. In the evening, we sent her a thank-you message. What she did was truly a good example of humanity. You can see it in the messages. The dates are January 5 and 6. Our daughter Kübra, thank goodness, also tried quite hard to meet with Ms. Gaye. As stated in the messages, our daughter Kübra does not want to be a tool for the slander being spread. She says, 'Regardless of who it is, I fear slander and violating the rights of others. I believe that sooner or later, everything will come to light.'"
