European Central Bank cuts interest rates again
The European Central Bank has cut interest rates for the eighth time as economic expectations weaken due to the impact of US President Donald Trump's global trade policies.
The European Central Bank has made a new cut to interest rates, lowering the deposit rate from 2.25 percent to 2 percent. The main refinancing rate was reduced from 2.40 percent to 2.15 percent. The marginal lending facility rate was also lowered from 2.65 percent to 2.40 percent.
Analysts participating in a survey conducted by Bloomberg had also anticipated this quarter-point cut.
