Fatih Portakal claims additional raise for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees: He gave a date, saying 'Write this down'

While the raise rate for civil servants and civil servant retirees was set at 49.25 percent, this figure remained at 37.57 percent for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees.

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the additional raise rate expected by millions of retirees as 5 percent.

Declaring 2024 the year of the retiree, Erdoğan announced that the lowest pension had been increased from 7,500 TL to 10,000 TL.

While millions of retirees are condemned to poverty-level wages, a striking claim came from journalist Fatih Portakal.

Saying "Write this down," Portakal stated that there could be another additional raise for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees and provided a date. Portakal expressed the following:

"Retirees are unhappy. Shall I tell you? Retirees are unhappy. I think there could be an extra arrangement for these retirees in March. Write this down."
