Fatih Portakal comments on the 'minimum wage' hike! 'If it's true, shame on you!'
Employees have their eyes and ears on the minimum wage hike expected to be announced at the end of the year... Journalist Fatih Portakal shared insider information regarding the minimum wage increase, saying, "If these figures are true, shame on you."
Journalist Fatih Portakal shared the inside information he obtained regarding the eagerly awaited new minimum wage hike.
Reacting to the claim that a 25 percent raise would be implemented, Portakal said, "Türk-İş must clearly state its objection. If the 25 percent figure is true, I say shame on you. You have done everything to us just so we can meet the inflation target."

According to a Bloomberg report, a percentage was given for the first time regarding the raise to be made to the minimum wage. According to the report, it was claimed that a 25 percent raise to the minimum wage is being planned.
Fatih Portakal, who presents the Sözcü TV Main News Bulletin, reacted harshly to the "25 percent" raise claim.
Portakal used the following expressions:
"You are, of course, people who earn good salaries. Look, do not compare yourselves with the people. This minimum wage that you are thinking of raising to 21 thousand 250 liras will make people revolt. If Türk-İş is going to enter this meeting, it must say something. It is, of course, impossible to accept this; it must clearly state its objection.
If the 25 percent figure is true, I say shame on you. You have done everything to us just so we can meet the inflation target. I do not predict that this rate will be given."
