Fatih Portakal gives a figure for the lowest pension: Sorry government, retirees will hear it from me before you

Journalist Fatih Portakal, who previously correctly predicted the raise to be made to the minimum wage, has this time made a prediction for the lowest pension and civil servant salary.

Sharing on his social media account, Portakal stated, "I had announced the minimum wage 1 month in advance. I made an accurate prediction. And as a retiree, I thought last night, 'What raise will be given to us?' While making some calls, I reached some information. What will happen with the pension raise? A single rate or a tiered rate? What could the lowest figure be? Sorry government, retirees will hear it from me on Sözcü Ana Haber before you. I will spoil your plans again."

HE GAVE A FIGURE FOR THE LOWEST PENSION

Later, addressing the issue of the pension raise on the main news broadcast, Portakal made the following statement;

"A 49 percent raise was made to the minimum wage, and it became 17,002 lira. Now retirees are waiting. Most importantly, what will happen to those receiving 7,500 lira?

I am giving a rate in the 52-53 percent range. That means the lowest pension will vary between 11,200 and 11,400. It will not be the same for those receiving higher amounts.

For example, let me state my own salary; I receive a high amount; 24,000 lira... A 52-53 percent raise might not be applied to me. But it will not be below 38 percent. They will pull the lower ones up, but it might be tiered for those receiving higher amounts."
