Ferrari to accept cryptocurrency payments
Luxury car giant Ferrari has announced that it will accept cryptocurrency payments in the US.
The company reported that customers and dealers have shown high demand for payments via cryptocurrency. The automaker stated that it also plans to accept crypto payments in Europe.
FERRARI TO ACCEPT CRYPTO PAYMENTS IN THE US
A crypto move has come from the luxury car giant. Ferrari will accept crypto payments in the US. The company will implement a similar practice in Europe as well.
According to a report by Reuters, Ferrari's Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Enrico Galliera confirmed the luxury car brand's intentions. Ferrari stated that the decision was made because a large number of customers requested to pay with crypto. It was noted that market and dealer demands were influential in the decision.
Although Galliera did not specify the number of cars Ferrari expects to sell through crypto payments, he noted that the automaker's strong order portfolio is fully booked until 2025. It was recorded that the company aims to test the expanding market to connect with potential buyers.
The luxury automaker plans to accept cryptocurrency payments in Europe by the first quarter of 2024. Following Europe, it aims to expand into other crypto-friendly regions.
It was reported that Ferrari has partnered with BitPay for the initial phase in the US. This collaboration will allow transactions in Bitcoin, Ether, and USD Coin.
