In the meeting chaired by Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, the workers' delegation was led by TÜRK-İŞ Vice President Ramazan Ağar, while the employers' delegation was led by TİSK Board Chairman Özgür Burak Akkol.

Unlike previous years, for the first time in this year's negotiations, 4 workers were included in the 5-person TÜRK-İŞ delegation.

Hatice Akgedik, a mother of two working as a hospital worker in Adana; Meliha Nur Şıkbudak, a cashier working in Ankara; Saffet Canbaz, a father of three and energy worker living in Çorum; and Durmuş Öztürk, a father of three and highway worker living in Bolu, took their place at the bargaining table on behalf of millions of minimum wage earners.

The workers, who were asked for their opinions in the commission, stated that they work for minimum wage and cannot make ends meet, and that they are demanding a wage they can live on.
