Forbes highlights Erkan's tenure at Goldman Sachs
Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan has been included in Forbes' list of women with growing influence who should be watched in 2024.
The US-based business magazine Forbes recently announced the world's 100 most powerful women. Forbes published a second list for those who did not make the list, which included Güler Sabancı from Turkey.
Forbes identified women whose influence is growing even if they did not make the main list. It was noted that the most important test for Central Bank Governor Hafize Gaye Erkan, who is on the list, is the inflation that has remained high in Turkey for a long time.
While attention was drawn to Erkan's time working at Goldman Sachs, it was written that Erkan aims to restore consumer and investor confidence in the Turkish Lira.
