Formulas for the lowest pension and additional raises revealed! When will it be enacted?

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated that an arrangement will be made regarding the additional raise and for retirees currently receiving 7,500 Turkish Lira per month, saying, "We are working on what we can do for those receiving the lowest pensions. Our government will discuss this in the Cabinet in the coming days, and then it will be presented to the discretion of our Parliament."

2 FORMULAS FOR SALARY DIFFERENCE

According to the report in Ekonomim; there are some formulas reflected in the public eye regarding the additional raise to be applied to SSK and Bağ-Kur pensions.

Formula 1

Providing an additional increase of approximately 12 percent to SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees as of January, and bringing the total raise to 49.25 percent or a few points below that, similar to civil servant retirees.

Formula 2

Spreading the additional increase throughout the year. A portion will be reflected in salaries this month, and a portion will be reflected in the July increases. Thus, the raises to be given to both civil servant retirees and SGK and Bağ-Kur retirees will be equalized.

ARRANGEMENT FOR THE LOWEST PENSION

Formula 1

Increasing base salaries starting from the lowest level to bring them to a certain threshold, and then adding the 37.57 percent 6-month inflation increase to the salaries.

Formula 2

Applying a gradual proportional raise to base salaries, and then adding the 37.57 percent inflation increase to the resulting new base salary.

Formula 3

Raising base salaries to the current floor of 7,500 Turkish Lira. Adding the 37.57 percent 6-month inflation increase on top of that. Then, including the welfare share points to be determined.

WHEN WILL IT BE ENACTED?

According to the statement made by the AK Party, the regulations for the additional pension raise and the lowest pension are expected to be brought to the Parliament's agenda in the third week of January. In this case, the regulations will be enacted by Friday, January 26.
