The first inflation data of 2025 has been announced! How much of a raise will civil servants and retirees receive in July?

The inflation adjustment that will affect the salaries of civil servants, retired civil servants, and SGK and Bağ-Kur retirees has emerged with the January inflation data.

Civil servants, who receive raises twice a year based on inflation adjustments and collective bargaining agreements, and retirees, whose raises are determined according to the inflation adjustment, have already begun their July calculations following the announcement of the first inflation data of 2025.

According to the data shared by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), inflation in January was announced as 5.03 percent monthly.

HOW MUCH OF A RAISE WILL CIVIL SERVANTS AND RETIREES RECEIVE?

As of the first month of 2025, SGK and Bağ-Kur retirees have already earned a 5.03 percent inflation raise.

Civil servants and retired civil servants receive an inflation adjustment in addition to their collective bargaining raise. As of the end of January, this figure has exceeded 5.03 percent. For the inflation adjustment that civil servants and retired civil servants will receive in July in addition to their collective bargaining raise, an additional 0.92 percent inflation needs to occur.

Since this raise will be reflected in July salaries, it will be calculated cumulatively based on the monthly inflation rate announced each month. The net figure will be determined by the inflation data for February, March, April, May, and June.
