Hikes announced for impound lot and vehicle towing fees in Istanbul

Following the fare hike for public transportation in Istanbul, an increase has also been applied to impound lot and vehicle towing fees.

HIKES FOR IMPOUND LOT FEES

Accordingly, the vehicle towing fee has increased from 870 liras to 1,215 liras, while the daily impound lot fee for cars has risen from 85 liras to 120 liras.

APPROVED AT UKOME MEETING

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME) meeting was held at the Çırpıcı Social Facilities under the chairmanship of IMM Deputy Secretary General Gürkan Akgün. During the meeting, a proposal by the Turkish Police Organization Strengthening Foundation General Directorate and the Istanbul Police Services Development and Support Association to reorganize the daily parking and towing fees for vehicles impounded and kept in custody was evaluated.

HOW MUCH ARE IMPOUND LOT FEES? HOW MUCH ARE VEHICLE TOWING FEES?

It was decided to increase impound lot and vehicle towing fees by between 39.65 percent and 50 percent.

Accordingly, the vehicle towing fee has increased by 39.65 percent from 870 liras to 1,215 liras, the private transport fee for distances up to 5 kilometers has risen from 870 liras to 1,215 liras, and the additional kilometer fee has increased from 30 liras to 45 liras.

Within the scope of the proposal, the daily impound lot fee schedule has increased from 45 liras to 65 liras for motorcycles, from 85 liras to 120 liras for cars, from 110 liras to 155 liras for pickup trucks, off-road vehicles, and minibuses, from 165 liras to 230 liras for trucks and buses, and from 215 liras to 300 liras for construction machinery.
