Fluctuations in Brent crude oil and exchange rates, along with tax increases, continue to be reflected in fuel prices as discounts and hikes.

Most recently, a 91-kuruş hike was applied to the liter price of diesel, effective as of Saturday, January 18.

A RAIN OF HIKES IN THE NEW YEAR

As of January 1, a 6% SCT (Special Consumption Tax) increase was reflected at the pump, and in the same week, gasoline was hiked by 1.27 TL and diesel by 1 TL again. A 49-kuruş discount was applied to LPG on January 8.

On January 16, diesel was hiked again by 1 lira and 47 kuruş. With this, diesel prices approached the 50 TL threshold.
