Retiree base salaries have changed! How are they calculated, and where can you find out?

Following the December inflation data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT), the pension increase rates to be applied in the first half of 2025 have been determined. Accordingly, an 11.54 percent raise will be applied to civil servant salaries and civil servant pensions, while a 15.75 percent raise will be applied to SSK and BAĞ-KUR pensions. With this increase, the lowest pension has risen from 12,500 TL to 14,469 TL.

HOW TO QUERY PENSION STATUS?

4A, 4B, and 4C retirees can query the current status of their pensions via e-Devlet. SSK retirees can access detailed information by entering the “4A Emekli Aylığı” (4A Pension) tab. BAĞ-KUR retirees can view their salary statements by entering the “4B Emekli Aylığı” (4B Pension) tab.

WHAT IS A BASE SALARY AND HOW IS IT CALCULATED?

The base salary is the pension calculated excluding additional payments. This amount can be easily learned via e-Devlet. Here are the steps:

4A base salary calculation

1. Log in to e-Devlet and type “4A Emekli Aylığı”.

2. Click on the first link and go to the “Detay” (Detail) tab.

3. Note the amount under “5510 Ek 19 Miktarı” at the bottom of the page.

4. Subtract this amount from 12,500 TL to find the base salary.

4B base salary calculation

1. Log in to e-Devlet and type “4B Emekli Aylığı”.

2. Click on the first link and examine the statements.

3. Calculate the base salary by subtracting the figure in the “Ek Madde 19 İntibak Fark Tutarı” section at the bottom from 12,500 TL.

HOW IS A PENSION CALCULATED VIA SGK?

With the system updated by the SGK, 4A, 4B, and 4C pension calculations have been made accessible again. Pensions can be easily queried using a Turkish ID Number and some basic information. 4A PENSION CALCULATION

4A retirees can easily perform pension calculation procedures via the official SGK website. Here are the steps:

1. Enter your Turkish ID Number, SSK Registration Number, Father's Name, Population Province Information, and Date of Birth.

2. You can calculate your pension by pressing the query button.

Note: Updates regarding the January 2023 period, when the system was temporarily closed, have been completed and the application has been reopened for use.

4B PENSION CALCULATION

BAĞ-KUR retirees can follow these steps to query their pensions:

1. Go to the uyg.sgk.gov.tr address.

2. Fill in the Turkish ID Number, Institution Information, and Security Code fields.

3. Learn the current amount of your pension by pressing the calculate button.

4C PENSION CALCULATION

For public employees (4C retirees), the pension calculation process is performed as follows:

1. Log in to the uyg.sgk.gov.tr/HizmetHesabi4c/ address.

2. Enter information such as Date of Birth, Gender, 4A Service Period, Start and End Dates.

3. Select the Service Type and query your pension by pressing the calculate button.
