The picture for the July raise is becoming clear! The 5-month inflation difference for civil servants and retirees has emerged

Following the announcement of May inflation figures by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT), eyes have turned to the salary raises that civil servants and retirees will receive in July.

With the announced data, the inflation difference for the first five months of the year has become clear, and the raise rates for millions of civil servants, civil servant retirees, and SGK and Bağ-Kur retirees have also emerged.

MAY INFLATION ANNOUNCED AT 1.71 PERCENT

According to TURKSTAT data, monthly inflation in May was 1.71 percent.

With the announcement of this data, inflation calculations for the first five-month period of 2026 have also been completed.

According to the announced data, considering the monthly inflation rates of 4.84 percent in January, 2.96 percent in February, 1.94 percent in March, 4.18 percent in April, and 1.71 percent in May, the five-month inflation rate for SGK and Bağ-Kur retirees was 16.60 percent.

Thus, SGK and Bağ-Kur retirees have already qualified for a 16.60 percent increase to be reflected in their salaries in July.

Salary increases for civil servants and civil servant retirees are calculated based on the combination of collective bargaining agreement provisions and the inflation difference.

As of May, the inflation difference for civil servants and civil servant retirees was calculated at 5.04 percent.

THE RATE REACHED 12.40 PERCENT WITH THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING RAISE

When the 7 percent raise rate to be applied in July under the Period Collective Bargaining Agreement is evaluated together with the 5.04 percent inflation difference, the total increase rate reached 12.40 percent.

Thus, the raise table for civil servants and civil servant retirees based on five-month data has become clear.

The final salary increases to be applied in July will become clear after the June inflation figures are announced.

With the addition of June inflation, the inflation rate for the first six months of the year will emerge, and both the raise that SGK and Bağ-Kur retirees will receive and the salary increases for civil servants and civil servant retirees will be finalized.
