The rate AKP is considering for the minimum wage hike has emerged
While no figure emerged during the first meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission on December 10, all eyes have turned to the second meeting on December 16. The hike rate being discussed in AKP corridors regarding the minimum wage, which millions of employees are eagerly awaiting, has been revealed.
With only a few days left until 2025, millions of workers have turned their eyes and ears to the minimum wage hike.
No figure was mentioned at the first meeting of the Minimum Wage Determination Commission on December 10.
The commission will meet for the second time tomorrow (December 16) at 16:00.
The figure being discussed in AKP corridors regarding the minimum wage hike, which directly concerns 7 million workers and indirectly the entire society, has leaked from the corridors.
According to Gazete Duvar, AKP officials who say "We must find a reasonable path" for the success of the ongoing economic program believe that if a sudden increase in the welfare level were to decline after 3-5 months, it would not benefit anyone.
"It is not possible to reach prosperity without experiencing some hardship," said the AKP's economic officials, who assessed, "As the state, our duty is to act as an arbiter by considering how the entire society will be affected by the minimum wage hike."
THE RATE AKP IS CONSIDERING FOR THE MINIMUM WAGE HIKE
While economic officials did not mention a specific figure for the minimum wage, it was learned that the hike rate most discussed in AKP corridors is between 35 percent and 40 percent.
