TÜİK announced: Turkey's fastest impoverishing and enriching provinces have been identified
TÜİK has announced the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data on a provincial basis. Accordingly, Turkey's fastest enriching and impoverishing provinces have been ranked.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) shared its 2023 report on Gross Domestic Product by Province with the public on December 12.
According to the data shared by TÜİK, the GDP per capita across Turkey rose from 26,624 TL in 2014 to 311,110 TL in 2023. In dollar terms, this figure increased from 12,178 dollars to 13,243 dollars.
GDP represents the total value of final goods and services produced domestically within a specific period.
THE PROVINCE CONTRIBUTING MOST TO TURKEY'S GDP GROWTH: ISTANBUL
Istanbul was the province that contributed the most to the 5.1 percent increase in annual GDP compared to the previous year, based on the chained volume index, with 1.65 percent. Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 0.96 percent and Kocaeli with 0.27 percent.
According to the GDP data announced by TÜİK, Turkey's fastest-enriching and fastest-impoverishing provinces have been determined.
