Valuable paper fees for 2026 announced: 19 percent hike for passports, driver's licenses, ID cards, and family record books

Fees for official documents classified as valuable papers, such as passports, driver's licenses, and family record books, will be increased by 19 percent in 2026.

The determined increase rate remained below the revaluation rate, which was announced as 25.49 percent. The aforementioned communiqué will enter into force as of January 1, 2026.

ID CARD REPLACEMENT AND LOSS FEES

The fee for Republic of Turkey identity cards issued due to birth or card replacement has been set at 220 TL.

In the event of a lost identity card, the amount to be paid has become 440 TL.

2026 VALUABLE PAPER PRICE SCHEDULE

According to the new prices to be applied in 2026;

The passport booklet fee has been increased from 1,135 TL to 1,351 TL,

The driver's license fee from 1,420 TL to 1,690 TL,

The motor vehicle registration certificate fee from 1,270 TL to 1,511 TL,

The family record book fee from 1,010 TL to 1,202 TL,

The foreign work permit certificate fee from 810 TL to 964 TL,

And the notary paper fee has been raised from 125 TL to 149 TL.

On the other hand, the fee to be charged for each leaf of bank checks will be applied as 95 TL.
