Gold imports declined in November, silver imports hit a record
While gold imports via the Borsa Istanbul Precious Metals Market declined slightly in November, silver imports reached a new record.
According to data from the Borsa Istanbul Precious Metals Market, gold imports last month totaled 22,313 kg. This represents a 3.7 percent decrease compared to the 23,182 kg of imports recorded the previous month, and remains 42.7 percent below the 38,928 kg of imports recorded in the same month last year.
Total gold imports for the first 11 months of the year reached 302,888 kg.
SILVER IMPORTS AT HISTORIC PEAK
Silver imports surpassed the historic peak seen in October, pushing it even higher in November. The 188,107 kg of imports last month marked the highest figure since records began.
Silver imports reached a level of 990,831 kg in the first 11 months of the year.
