Gold starts the week with a rise!
Rising tensions in the Middle East have caused gold prices to start the week with an increase.
The spot price of gold per ounce is trading at the 2,027 dollar level, with a 0.4 percent increase.
Growing concerns over rising tensions in the Middle East have triggered the rise in gold.
For the remainder of the week, the US Federal Reserve's interest rate decision will be on the markets' radar. The bank is not expected to make any changes to interest rates.
Data released on Friday showed that the inflation indicator followed by the Fed had fallen to its lowest level in 3 years, while consumer spending also exceeded estimates.
Today, silver is also rising, while platinum and palladium are in decline.
