Housing sales see sharp decline
Across Turkey, the number of housing sales in September decreased by 9.5% compared to the same month last year, reaching 102,656.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has announced housing sales statistics for September.
Accordingly, the number of housing sales across Turkey fell by 9.5% in September compared to the same month last year, dropping to 102,656.
In the January-September period, housing sales decreased by 14.9% compared to the same period last year, totaling 900,074.
In September, Istanbul had the highest share in housing sales with 15,247 sales and a 14.9% share. Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 9,048 housing sales and an 8.8% share, and İzmir with 5,476 housing sales and a 5.3% share.
The provinces with the lowest number of housing sales were determined to be Ardahan with 47 houses, Hakkari with 55 houses, and Bayburt with 77 houses.
