How did the markets close the day?

The BIST 100 index started the day at 10,274.38 points, up by 23.63 points and 0.26 percent.

The BIST 100 index, which saw a low of 10,187.83 points and a high of 10,3804.29 points during the day, completed the day at 10,268.58 points, an increase of 0.20 percent compared to the previous close.

Compared to the previous close, the financial index gained 0.76 percent and the services index gained 0.01 percent, while the technology index lost 0.33 percent and the industrial index lost 0.11 percent.

The BIST 30 index closed at 11,145.83 points, up by 18.27 points and 0.16 percent compared to the previous close.

Of the shares included in the BIST 100 index, 55 gained value and 45 declined. Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, Ereğli Demir Çelik, Akbank, Yapı ve Kredi Bankası, and Akbank were the most actively traded stocks.

GOLD OUNCE PRICE

The ounce price of gold is trading at 2,334 dollars in international markets as of 18:25. In the Borsa Istanbul Gold Market, the price of standard gold per kilogram decreased by 0.2 percent to 2 million 430 thousand liras.

The simple yield of the bond maturing on February 18, 2026, traded in the Borsa Istanbul Bond and Bill Market Outright Purchase and Sale Market, was 40.55 percent, and the compound yield was 44.66 percent for today's value-dated transactions.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) announced today's effective exchange rate for the dollar as 32.1545 liras for buying and 32.2833 liras for selling. The TCMB had previously set the effective exchange rate at 32.1845 liras for buying and 32.3134 liras for selling.

In international markets, as of 18:25, the euro/dollar parity is at 1.0780, the sterling/dollar parity is at 1.2510, and the dollar/yen parity is at 155.60.

The barrel price of London Brent crude oil is trading at 83.5 dollars, showing a flat trend.
