Increased pension payments begin hitting accounts (January 2025 SSK and Bağ-Kur pension payment dates)

Pension payments have been increased by 15.75 percent as of January. This increase has been applied to base pensions as the inflation-based adjustment rate. The increased pensions have begun to be deposited into accounts starting today.

SSK PENSIONERS: JANUARY 17-26, BAĞ-KUR PENSIONERS: JANUARY 25-28

While SSK pensioners will receive their payments between January 17 and 26, payment dates for Bağ-Kur pensioners have been set for January 25-28.

REGULATION EXPECTED FOR THE LOWEST PENSION AMOUNT

The legislative proposal prepared to increase the lowest pension to 14 thousand 469 liras was recently approved by the TBMM Planning and Budget Commission. With the amendment to be made to the Social Insurance and General Health Insurance Law, the minimum amount of 12 thousand 500 liras paid to retirees receiving old-age, disability, and death pensions, as well as their beneficiaries, will become 14 thousand 469 liras as of January 2025.

For this regulation to enter into force, it must be approved by the TBMM General Assembly and published in the Official Gazette. If the regulation is not finalized in time for January, the difference payments will be deposited into accounts in February.
