Inflation forecast from 8 banks: At least a 6-point gap emerged with the CBRT's inflation forecast
Following Moody’s credit rating decision for Turkey, exchange rates started the new week with an upward trend. In the wake of these developments, the gap between the forecasts of the CBRT and the MTP and those of the banks regarding inflation expectations has drawn attention.
Moody’s’ credit rating decision for Turkey was followed by an upward trend in exchange rates at the start of the new week.
The exchange rate is currently trading at 30.10 for the Dollar and 33.02 TL for the Euro.
Following these developments, the 2024 year-end inflation forecasts of 8 banks have emerged. It was observed that the banks made forecasts above the expectations of the CBRT and the MTP.
Info Yatırım, which provided the forecast closest to the CBRT, estimated 39.2 percent.
Accordingly, the forecasts for 2024 year-end inflation are as follows:

MTP: 33 percent

Halk Yatırım: 39.5 percent

İnfo Yatırım: 39.2 percent
