Inflation in India remains below expectations
Inflation in India has fallen to its lowest level in three months.
India's inflation data rose by 5.02 percent on an annual basis in September, falling to its lowest level in three months due to the impact of lower vegetable prices.
The data came in below economists' expectations of a 5.5 percent increase and continues to remain above the central bank's 4 percent target.
Last week, the Reserve Bank of India kept interest rates steady at 6.5 percent.
