Intense interest in Eurobond: Demand exceeded three times
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance's 2031-maturity Eurobond received demand exceeding three times the issuance amount.
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance, within the scope of its 2025 external financing program, carried out a Euro-denominated bond issuance with a 2031 maturity. The issuance, which was initiated on July 10, 2025, with the authorization given to BNP Paribas, Citibank, ING Bank, and Standard Chartered, was completed on the same day and amounted to 1.5 billion Euros.
Approximately 140 investors showed interest in this bond issuance, and demand exceeded three times the issuance amount. 33 percent of the bond was sold to investors in the United Kingdom, 30 percent in the USA, 21 percent in other European countries, 9 percent in the Middle East, 5 percent in Turkey, and 2 percent in other countries.
While the coupon and yield rates of the bond were set at 5.200 percent, it was announced that the issuance amount would be credited to accounts on July 17, 2025. With this issuance, a total of approximately 8.75 billion US dollars in financing has been secured from international capital markets in 2025.
