İŞ BANKASI GENERAL MANAGER HAKAN ARAN: HALF OF EMPLOYEES' SALARIES GO TO RENT

According to the report by Ekonomim, Hakan Aran drew attention to rent increases in Turkey. Stating that half of employees' salaries go to rent, Aran said, "I am also a tenant, and I was forced to move out of the house I was living in. The landlord wanted to increase the rent, which was 12 thousand liras, to 75 thousand liras. I ended up renting a house belonging to the bank's supplementary pension fund for the same amount."

'PEOPLE SHOULD BE ENABLED TO BECOME HOMEOWNERS IN PLACES WHERE THEY CAN LIVE'

Aran continued as follows:

"Those who move out because their rent has increased can only find houses for the same price in much more distant parts of the city. People should be enabled to become homeowners in places where they can live."
