Israel-Iran impact on the fuel market: Price hikes on gasoline and diesel in the last week are burning pockets
The escalating Israel-Iran tension in the Middle East has pushed oil prices upward. Rising costs have also been reflected in fuel prices as hikes. With the latest increases, the price per liter of gasoline and diesel in major cities has exceeded 50 liras.
The war between Israel and Iran has caused volatility in global oil markets. The rise of Brent crude oil prices above 75 dollars has been reflected in domestic fuel prices as hikes.
Following the increase in gasoline and diesel prices, the price per liter in major cities such as Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir has exceeded 50 liras.
3 TL HIKE ON GASOLINE, 5 TL ON DIESEL IN THE LAST 1 WEEK
As of June 12, 2025, a liter of gasoline was being sold for 46.96 liras and diesel for 46.27 liras in Istanbul.
With the latest adjustment, there has been a 3 lira hike on gasoline and a 5 lira hike on diesel within just one week.
