July raise for retirees! How much will the lowest pension be?

July raise for retirees! How much will the lowest pension be?

Millions of retirees are waiting for the inflation adjustment that will become clear with the announcement of June inflation. There was curiosity about whether a flat-rate increase or a welfare share would be provided in addition to the inflation adjustment for retiree pensions, which are being crushed under the cost of living. 

Social Security Institution (SGK) Expert İsa Karakaş, who writes in his column in Türkiye Gazetesi, spoke about pension salaries. Stating that work regarding the raise to be applied to pensions in July is ongoing, İsa Karakaş noted that there is no positive signal in Ankara political circles regarding the provision of a flat-rate increase or a welfare share.

THE LOWEST PENSION WILL RISE TO 16 THOUSAND 652 TL

According to TUIK data, the four-month inflation difference covering January, February, March, and April was 13.37 percent. With the addition of May inflation, the total five-month inflation difference reached 15.09 percent. Only the June inflation data is awaited for the raise rate to be finalized.

According to the current outlook, a raise of at least 15.09 percent is expected for the pensions of SSK, Bağ-Kur, bank, and chamber fund retirees. With this increase, the lowest pension, which is currently 14 thousand 469 TL, will rise to approximately 16 thousand 652 TL.
