The recent price decline in oil markets is expected to be reflected in fuel prices as a discount.

According to information obtained from industry sources, a downward update in gasoline and diesel prices is expected starting from midnight between June 1 and June 2.

According to expectations, a discount of 1.38 TL will be applied to the liter price of gasoline, and 7.25 TL to the liter price of diesel. While the regulation is planned to be implemented within the scope of the Sliding Scale System (Eşel Mobil), it is expected that approximately 25 percent of the discount will be reflected in pump prices, while the remaining portion will be transferred to tax items.

The decline in oil prices in global energy markets has also caused a decrease in fuel costs. At the close of the week, the barrel price of Brent crude was recorded at 91.12 dollars, and the barrel price of West Texas Intermediate crude was recorded at 87.36 dollars.
