Markets in motion: Historic record for gram gold
Following the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, markets have become active. Gram gold surpassed 4,000 TL, setting a new record.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has been detained as part of a 'terrorism' and 'corruption' investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
Following the operation, gram gold, which started the day at the 3,577 TL level, surpassed the 4,000 TL mark at 10:41 AM, reaching 4,001 TL.
After hitting its peak, gold began to decline and is trading at the 3,790 level as of 11:04 AM.
