Meat move from chain supermarkets before Ramadan: Prices to be fixed
With only a few days left until the month of Ramadan, meat and butter prices are being fixed in chain supermarkets. While the prices of ground meat and cubed meat are currently around 750 TL on average, these prices will be kept fixed until the end of Ramadan.
With the approach of the month of Ramadan, a decision has been made to fix the prices of meat and butter in chain supermarkets. Within the scope of the protocol signed between the Ankara Retailers Association (PERDER) and the Meat and Milk Board (ESK), the prices of red meat and butter will be kept fixed throughout Ramadan.
WHAT WILL THE PRICES BE?
The prices of meat and butter products supplied to the market by the ESK have been determined as follows:
Ground meat: 485 TL
Cubed meat: 510 TL
Top round: 535 TL
Striploin: 900 TL
Ribeye: 1000 TL
Tenderloin: 1200 TL
Butter: 384 TL
AIMING TO PROTECT PURCHASING POWER BEFORE THE MONTH OF RAMADAN
Ankara PERDER President Ramazan Gülhan stated that the decision to fix prices was taken by considering the increased food demand and market conditions before the month of Ramadan. Gülhan said, "This practice is a step aimed at protecting the purchasing power of citizens and is not a commercial campaign, but a social responsibility project aimed directly at serving the public."
