Mehmet Şimşek announced: It fell below 7 percent for the first time
Stating that the yield on the 10-year US Dollar benchmark bond has fallen below 7 percent for the first time since November 2021, Mehmet Şimşek said, "We will further improve our risk premium."
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek shared a post on his social media account regarding the change in the yield of the 10-year US Dollar benchmark bond.
Sharing a graph, Şimşek used the following expressions:
"The yield on our 10-year US Dollar benchmark bond has fallen below 7 percent for the first time since November 2021. With the program we are implementing with determination, we have strengthened macro-financial stability and lowered the risk premium. Thus, our external borrowing costs have declined significantly. This improvement in our costs also positively affects the external financing of the private sector. In the coming period, we will further improve our risk premium by making our gains permanent with structural steps."
