Mehmet Şimşek in Germany: 'Interest in Turkey continues to grow'
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek emphasized Turkey's goal of increasing international direct investments at a summit held in Germany.
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek attended the 2024 summit of the Stern Stewart Institute, one of Germany's leading think tanks, in the town of Elmau in the state of Bavaria.
The summit brought together CEOs and CFOs of more than 50 of Germany's largest companies, as well as leading academics in their fields.
SPECIAL SESSIONS FOR TURKEY
On the second day of the summit, during a special session organized for Turkey, Minister Şimşek met with companies that have investments in Turkey or are considering investing. The meetings were held behind closed doors. Şimşek answered questions from investors during this session.
GROWING INTEREST IN TURKEY
In a post on his social media account, Minister Şimşek stated, "We held productive meetings with executives of major companies and investors during our approximately 24-hour visit to Germany. Interest in Turkey continues to grow. We are intensifying our efforts to increase international direct investments, which is our primary goal."
