Mehmet Şimşek's US schedule begins
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek will hold important meetings in New York ahead of the G20 and IMF-World Bank spring meetings.
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, who traveled to the US for high-level meetings regarding the spring sessions of the G20, IMF, and World Bank, has begun his contacts in New York. Şimşek's program in the US includes various meetings with prominent figures from the business world and important consultations with sector representatives.
On the first day of his visit, Minister Şimşek will attend a Round Table Meeting organized jointly by Citigroup and the Turkish-American Business Council. Economic developments and international financial cooperation will be discussed at the meeting.
Şimşek will also hold a private meeting with Citigroup President and CEO Jane Fraser. During this meeting, bilateral economic and financial relations as well as the global investment environment will be evaluated.
As part of his New York contacts, Şimşek will also meet with real sector representatives at another event organized in cooperation with JPMorgan Chase and MÜSİAD, where he will convey the latest developments in the Turkish economy and investment opportunities.
