Midday gains in the markets

The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul rose by 1.77 percent to 8,647.18 points in the first half of the day.

The index increased by 150.51 points compared to the previous close. The BIST 100 index, which closed at 8,496.66 points yesterday, started the day at 8,514.47 points with an increase of 17.80 points and 0.21 percent.

During the first half of the day, the index saw a low of 8,514.47 points and a high of 8,653.79 points.

In the first half of the day, the financial index gained 18.81 percent, the services index 1.06 percent, the technology index 1.35 percent, and the industrial index 1.98 percent.

INCREASE IN GOLD OUNCE PRICE

The simple yield of the benchmark bond maturing on October 1, 2025, traded in the Borsa Istanbul Debt Securities Market Outright Purchases and Sales Market, is at 39.36 percent, and the compound yield is at 43.24 percent for today's value-dated transactions.

In international markets, the euro/dollar parity is at 1.0800, the sterling/dollar parity is at 1.2670, and the dollar/yen parity is at 146.8.

In the Istanbul free market, the dollar is being sold at 30.3710 liras and the euro at 32.7880 liras.

The ounce of gold is finding buyers at 2,041 dollars with a 0.3 percent increase in international markets, while a barrel of London Brent crude oil is rising by 0.9 percent to 81.2 dollars.
