Midday in the markets

The Borsa Istanbul BIST 100 index rose by 1.06 percent in the first half of the day to reach 9,142.00 points. The index showed an increase of 96.03 points compared to the previous close. The BIST 100 index, which closed at 9,045.97 points on Friday, started the day at 9,134.22 points with an increase of 88.25 points and 0.98 percent. In the first half of the day, the index saw a low of 9,112.67 points and reached a high of 9,159.94 points.

In the first half of the day, the financial index gained 0.62 percent, the services index 0.63 percent, the technology index 2.74 percent, and the industrial index 0.63 percent. Of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index, 85 rose while 11 lost value. Turkish Airlines, Gübre Fabrikaları, Tüpraş, Sasa Polyester Sanayi, and Aselsan were among the most actively traded stocks of the day.

In the Borsa Istanbul Bonds and Bills Market Outright Purchases and Sales Market, the simple yield of the benchmark bond maturing on October 1, 2025, is at 38.95 percent, and the compound yield is at 42.74 percent.

In international markets, as of 13:00, the euro/dollar parity is at 1.0770, the sterling/dollar parity is at 1.2620, and the dollar/yen parity is at 149.2. In the Istanbul free market, the dollar is being sold at 30.7010 liras, and the euro at 33.0730 liras.

The ounce of gold is trading at 2,020 dollars in international markets with a 0.2 percent decrease, while a barrel of London Brent crude oil is trading at 81.3 dollars with a 0.4 percent decline.
