Midday in the markets: Borsa Istanbul hits a new record (Latest on dollar, euro, and gold)

Borsa Istanbul refreshed its record in the first half of the day.

As of 13:00, the index increased by 6.49 points compared to the previous close. The BIST 100 index, which closed at 9,174.58 points yesterday, started the day at 9,217.42 points with an increase of 42.88 points and 0.47 percent.

In the first half of the day, the index saw a low of 9,134.41 points and a record high of 9,217.45 points.

In the first half of the day, the services index lost 0.8 percent in value, while the financial index gained 0.4 percent, the technology index 1.8 percent, and the industrial index 0.6 percent.

Compared to the previous close, 39 of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index rose in the first half of the day, while 60 lost value. The most actively traded stocks were Türk Hava Yolları, Ereğli Demir Çelik, Gübre Fabrikaları, Türkiye İş Bankası (C), and Tüpraş.

GOLD OUNCE PRICE AT 2,027 DOLLARS

As of 13:00, the simple yield of the benchmark bond maturing on October 1, 2025, traded in the Borsa Istanbul Bond and Bill Market Outright Purchase and Sale Market, is at 38.94 percent, and the compound yield is at 42.73 percent.

In international markets, as of 13:00, the euro/dollar parity is at 1.0780, the sterling/dollar parity is at 1.2660, and the dollar/yen parity is at 149.60.

In the Istanbul free market, the dollar is trading at 30.7240 liras and the euro at 33.1130 liras.

The ounce of gold is trading at 2,027 dollars with a 0.3 percent increase in international markets, and a barrel of London Brent crude oil is trading at 82.3 dollars with a 0.6 percent rise.
