Midday in the markets: Latest on the dollar, euro, stock market, and gold
The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul gained 0.54 percent in the first half of the day, rising to 10,264.16 points. In the Istanbul free market, the dollar is trading at 32.3540 liras and the euro at 34.7570 liras.

As of 13:00, the index stood at 10,264.16, up 55.51 points and 0.54 percent from the previous close. The BIST 100 index, which closed at 10,208.65 points yesterday, started the day at 10,237.02 points with a gain of 28.37 points and 0.28 percent.
During the first half of the day, the index hit a low of 10,213.89 points and reached a record high of 10,286.57 points.
In the first half of the day, the industrial index gained 0.30 percent, the services index 0.67 percent, the technology index 0.45 percent, and the financial index 0.48 percent.
Compared to the previous close, 58 of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index rose, while 38 lost value. The most actively traded stocks were Turkish Airlines, Akbank, Ereğli Demir Çelik, Pegasus Airlines, and Astor Enerji.
GOLD OUNCE PRICE AT 2 THOUSAND 301 DOLLARS
In international markets, as of 13:00, the euro/dollar parity is at 1.0740, the sterling/dollar parity at 1.2560, and the dollar/yen parity at 153.00.
In the Istanbul free market, the dollar is being sold at 32.3540 liras and the euro at 34.7570 liras.
The ounce of gold is trading at 2 thousand 301 dollars in international markets with a 0.1 percent decrease, and a barrel of London Brent crude oil is trading at 83.5 dollars with a 0.1 percent decrease.
