Midday in the markets: Latest on the euro, dollar, gold, and the stock exchange

The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul fell by 0.14 percent in the first half of the day to 8,816.52 points. In the Istanbul free market, the dollar is trading at 32.3000 lira and the euro at 35.2000 lira.

The stock market declined in the first half of the day.

As of 13:00, the index had decreased by 12.18 points compared to the previous close. The BIST 100 index, which closed at 8,828.70 points on Friday, started the week at 8,844.50 points with an increase of 15.80 points, or 0.18 percent.

During the first half of the day, the index saw a low of 8,751.06 points and a high of 8,862.93 points.

In the first half of the day, the financial index lost 0.34 percent, the services index 0.54 percent, the technology index 2.85 percent, and the industrial index 0.50 percent in value.

Compared to the previous close, 27 of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index rose, while 73 lost value during the first half of the day. The most actively traded stocks were Doğuş Otomotiv, Tüpraş, Turkish Airlines, Koç Holding, and Ereğli Demir Çelik.

GOLD OUNCE PRICE AT 2,155 DOLLARS

In international markets, as of 13:00, the euro/dollar parity is at 1.0900, the sterling/dollar parity is at 1.2740, and the dollar/yen parity is at 149.20.

In the Istanbul free market, the dollar is being sold at 32.3000 lira and the euro at 35.2000 lira.

The ounce of gold is trading at 2,155 dollars with a flat trend in international markets, while a barrel of London Brent crude oil is trading at 85.8 dollars, an increase of 1.1 percent.
